The department for Media Systems and Applications is part of the »Audio and Media Technologies« division, best known for its work on MP3 and AAC. We design and develop software for and in collaboration with global leaders in the broadcasting and streaming industry.

  • Design & Development: You design, implement, and maintain high-quality projects in C/C++, ensuring clean, efficient, and reliable code.
  • Partner Collaboration: You build and maintain strong, successful relationships with our partners, working closely to understand and meet their needs.
  • Innovation: You contribute to the development of new streaming technologies, helping to shape innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.

What you contribute

  • A university degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid programming skills with a focus on C/C++.
  • Willingness to learn new languages, such as Swift and Rust.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to your work.
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP), streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTP), multi-platform development (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android), and modern programming and scripting languages is a plus.

The position is initially limited to 2 years with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis with a preference, however, to have it filled as close to a full-time position as possible.
