One of our goals is to achieve optimum sound in the vehicle and therefore maximum musical enjoyment for all passengers. To achieve this, we deal with the specific sound challenges in the car. We develop pioneering solutions, open up new sound dimensions and enhanced comfort functions for the automotive industry.

What you do with us

  • Your work will focus on the porting and optimization of algorithms on digital signal processing platforms (DSP).
  • You will contribute your experience and innovative ideas to the design of software architectures, integration concepts and quality guidelines.
  • You design and control unit tests, recognize malfunctions and pursue their elimination with determination.
  • In this context, you will develop a deep understanding of the algorithms we use and provide impetus for their further development.

What you bring with you

  • Completed university degree in engineering, preferably in computer science or electrical engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of digital audio signal processing
  • Excellent programming skills in C and either MATLAB or Python
  • Ideally experience in the development of embedded software for audio applications in the automotive environment as well as initial contact with various DSP platforms, Intrinsics and Assembler
  • Passion for Audio
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Initiative and ability to work in a team

The position is initially limited to 2 years, an extension will be sought. The position can also filled on a part-time basis. The weekly working time is 39 hours with at least two days . Employment, remuneration and social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD). In addition, Fraunhofer may grant performance- and success-based variable remuneration components.
