Our research group »Future Engineering« in Nürnberg works in cooperation with the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg on data-based market, trend, and scenario research. The focus is on the development of automated systems for knowledge generation, trend analysis and decision support. These are made available to companies and research institutions.

What you will do

  • You assist in the development of semantic models (ontologies) using semantic web technologies like RDF and OWL
  • You collaborate with us to develop and improve process pipelines for automated data collection using object-oriented programming languages like Python
  • You create, refine, and analyze knowledge graphs using AI and modern Natural Language Processing/Natural Language Generation technologies
  • You support in requirements elicitation, implementation, and data interpretation as part of practical research projects

What you bring to the table

  • You are currently studying information systems, computer science, information technology or similar from the 3rd bachelor semester onwards
  • You have some experience with data modeling/data engineering in the field of semantic web (e.g. with OWL, RDF, SPARQL, SHACL)
  • You are a team player, reliable and show commitment and willingness to learn
  • You are available for a minimum of 6 months

Weekly working hours are determined by agreement. You can start from now on (as a student assistant from 12 to 20 hours a week or as an intern for a period of at least three months ). You can reduce your hours before exams and increase them during semester breaks. You can flexibly determine the working days. After your studies, you have the option of working with us full or part time.
